Reportedly, Yieh United Steel Corp. (Yusco), one of the major stainless steel producers in Taiwan announced to remain its list prices flat for November.
In fact, Yusco planned to raise prices for November due to rising raw material prices and higher demand.
However, the company finally decided to remain prices unchanged for November as it expected downstream buyers to digest inventories stocked up in August-October.
Yusco expected stainless steel market to improve in December as the fourth quarter is high season for stainless steel market.
Also, Yusco is considering hiking prices for December if nickel prices continue to stay at level of US$14,000/ton.
