According to statistics released by Japan’s Ministry of Finance, Japan’s stainless steel exports totaled 97,252 tons in September, rising by 6.3% from 91,448 tons in August.
Meanwhile, the country’s export prices of stainless steel products averaged at US$3,515/ton, decreasing by 10.9% month on month. The export revenues generated by stainless steel products total US$314.882 million.
In September, China was the largest importer of the Japanese stainless steel products with 17,295 tons, increasing by 9.4%; Korea was the second largest one with 19,170 tons, rising by 5.7% and Taiwan was the third largest one with 13,657 tons, up by 2.7%, all compared to the figures in a month ago.
