Ningxia Tianyuan Manganese Industry Co.,LTD （Tianyuan Manganese）announced recently that its cement clinker production lines and waste heat power generation project were formally put into production, which marked that the company had solved the problem of EMM slag recycling after two years of hard work. This would effectively promote clean production of EMM industry and the comprehensive utilization of manganese resource.
Tianyuan Manganese is the largest EMM manufacturer of the world and it produces about 8.6 million mt of industrial solid waste every year. If comprehensive use was not made of the solid waste, it has to be stacked as slag dam. Much land would be taken up and safety hazard exists.
An EMM expert disclosed manganese slag was the largest and most dangerous hazard resource of EMM industry. About 10 million of manganese slag was produced in China every year. The processing & utilization of manganese slag required much research investment and the manufacture craft was quite complicated, so it was a serious problem for the whole world.
Vice general manager of Tianyuan Manganese disclosed the utilization rate of the cement project was as much as 50%. It could consume 5 million mt of solid waste every year, including 3.42 million mt of manganese slag.
