As Hebei Iron and Steel Group lowered high carbon ferromanganese by RMB20/mt, it seems that other steel mills may also tend to edge down Sept purchase on high carbon ferromanganese.
In fact, take Hebei Iron and Steel for instance, the purchase price on 65# high carbon ferromanganese already dropped by RMB500/mt to RMB5,550/mt from RMB6,050/mt in January. What’s more, slack season for July-August also aggravated alloys suppliers’ sale pressure. Given steady output and slowing growth of steel, it is predicted that future price for high carbon ferromanganese would be still not optimistic.
